Reitzel Arte Contemporáneo continúa celebrando su 30 aniversario con la esperada exposición “Aurora en Samaná” del fantástico dúo español Los Bravú, integrado por Dea Gómez y Diego Omil, que se inaugura el jueves 20 de diciembre a las 7:00 p. m. en su espacio de Piantini. La velada promete ser una fiesta de arte, música y encuentro para cerrar un año pleno de memorias y creatividad contemporánea.
Tras su primera estancia en República Dominicana en 2019, Los Bravú regresan al país con una muestra inspirada en la contemplación, la convivencia y el asombro ante una tierra que admiran. Durante su residencia en El Portillo, península de Samaná, cortesía de la familia Dos Santos Paiewonsky, los artistas desarrollaron una nueva rutina marcada por la luminosidad y el asombro ante el paisaje. De esa experiencia nació “Aurora en Samaná”, una serie que captura la magia del amanecer y la transformación que ocurre cuando el arte se deja atravesar por el entorno que lo inspira. Más que un homenaje a la belleza del paisaje dominicano, la exposición es una reflexión sobre la transformación que ocurre cuando esta pareja de artistas se deja atravesar por el territorio que pisan y la pintura se vuelve un acto de pertenencia.
Con una destacada trayectoria internacional, Los Bravú han consolidado un lenguaje visual inconfundible que fusiona la estética del Renacimiento con escenas de la vida urbana contemporánea. Su obra abarca pintura, muralismo y cerámica, con proyectos emblemáticos como Plaza Mahou en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Librería Terranova en Barcelona, la Gran Vía de Madrid para La Casa Encendida y el Festival Éphimera en Valladolid. En esta ocasión, la dupla regresa para presentar una propuesta introspectiva y sensorial. Con “Aurora en Samaná”, Lyle O. Reitzel Arte Contemporáneo celebra tres décadas de exploración, diversidad y belleza, reafirmando su espíritu pionero del arte contemporáneo del Caribe.

Lyle O. Reitzel Arte Contemporáneo continues celebrating its 30th anniversary with the highly anticipated exhibition “Aurora in Samaná” by the fantastic Spanish duo Los Bravú, composed of Dea Gómez and Diego Omil. The show opens on Thursday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the gallery’s Piantini space. The evening promises to be a festive gathering of art, music, and community to close a year filled with memories and contemporary creativity.
Following their first stay in the Dominican Republic in 2019, Los Bravú return to the country with an exhibition inspired by contemplation, coexistence, and a sense of wonder toward a land they deeply admire. During their residency in El Portillo, on the Samaná peninsula—courtesy of the Dos Santos Paiewonsky family—the artists embraced a new routine marked by luminosity and awe in front of the landscape. From that experience emerged “Aurora in Samaná,” a series that captures the magic of dawn and the transformation that occurs when art becomes permeated by the environment that inspires it. More than a tribute to the beauty of the Dominican landscape, the exhibition is a reflection on the transformation that happens when this artistic duo allows themselves to be fully traversed by the territory they inhabit, letting painting become an act of belonging.
With a distinguished international trajectory, Los Bravú have consolidated an unmistakable visual language that merges Renaissance aesthetics with scenes of contemporary urban life. Their work spans painting, muralism, and ceramics, with emblematic projects such as Plaza Mahou at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Librería Terranova in Barcelona, Madrid’s Gran Vía for La Casa Encendida, and the Éphimera Festival in Valladolid. This time, the duo returns to present an introspective and sensorial proposal. With “Aurora in Samaná,” Lyle O.
