The gallery - Santo domingo

Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery opened its doors in Santo Domingo in 1995 with a focus on supporting the new artistic directions from the Dominican Republic, Latin America and the Caribbean. From 2006 to 2010 the gallery established itself in the Wynwood Art District of Miami. In 2016 it opens a branch in New York at the heart of Lower East Side in Manhattan. For over two decades, with Santo Domingo as its main platform, and faithful to its aesthetic proposal supporting the innovative, the irreverent and the extravagant, it has organized a series of exhibitions in galleries and museums in the great art capitals of the world, while also taking part in several prestigious international art fairs among them, ARCO 1997, Madrid; where the gallery was invited for the first time of many, a participation curated by Octavio Zayas, It has also been part of ArteBa, Buenos Aires; Zona MACO, Mexico; CONTEXT Art Miami during Art Basel, and several invitations to VOLTA NY during the Armory Show, featuring a solo show by artist Gerard Ellis among other artists, as well as PULSE Miami, SCOPE Miami/New York, MiART, Milan, where the gallery featured two solo shows, by García Cordero and Bedia respectively. Additionally, the gallery participated in KIAF, Korea; where it was invited to the Latin American Pavillion. In 2002, Lyle O.
